Filing early Green Card Applications – State Department is starting a new system October 2015 Visa Bulletin.

The U.S. Department of State is starting a newly revised system of dual cutoff dates starting October 2015 Visa Bulletin. The visa bulletin contains a new, separate cutoff date chart for filing the application for Form I-485 Adjustment. The cutoff dates in the filing chart are much later than the final action cutoff date chart.
For example, the employment-based, second preference (EB2) for India’s cutoff date for filing in October is July 1, 2009, while the cutoff date for final action is May 1, 2005.
This is really an important improvement and starting as of October 1, 2015, it applies to both the employment-based and family-based green card categories.
