USCIS WILL REJECT IMMIGRATION FORMS STARTED AUGUST 21ST — HERE’S WHY #america #usa #greencard #uscis

“Important immigration update: Started August 21st, 2025, USCIS will begin rejecting thousands of immigration applications if they don’t include the correct new fees. Even being under by a few dollars could mean your entire case gets thrown out. Here’s what you need to know.” The Policy Change “Under the H.R. 1 Reconciliation Bill, new immigration fees became mandatory on July 22nd, 2025. Applicants had a short grace period. But from August 21st, 2025, USCIS will flat-out reject any application that doesn’t include these new fees. That means: no Requests for Evidence, no second chances—if your payment isn’t right, your form is returned unprocessed.” Which Forms Are Affected? “Here are some of the key changes: • Asylum (Form I-589): Now requires a $100 filing fee plus a $100 Annual Asylum Fee if your case is pending longer than a year. • Work Permit (Form I-765): $550 for an initial application, $275 for renewals. • Special Immigrant Juvenile (Form I-360): $250 filing fee. • TPS Registration (Form I-821): Fee increased from $50 to $500. And remember—these fees are not waivable, even if you qualify for a fee waiver for the main form.” Why This Matters “Immigration lawyers are warning: mistakes will cost people precious time and opportunities. A rejected asylum or work permit application can mean months of delay—or even falling out of legal status. And with H.R. 1 tying these fees to inflation, we can expect future increases every year.” What Applicants Should Do “To protect your case: 1. Double-check the fee schedule before you file. 2. Pay the H.R. 1 fee separately from the regular USCIS fee. 3. Make sure your application is postmarked correctly—before July 22nd for old fees, or after with the updated payments. If you’re unsure, consult with an immigration attorney or check directly on USCIS.gov.” “This is one of the biggest fee shakeups in U.S. immigration history. Thousands of applications could be at risk starting this week.
